The aim in all our courses is to give both new counsellors to this specialist field and those counsellors who would like an update for their professional development, information and guidance to support them in their work.
This is the training programme prepared by the BICA Training Group for members and other interested colleagues. This joint project of the British Infertility Counselling Association (BICA) and the British Fertility Society (BFS) is an international first; a professional award in infertility counselling for counsellors working in the broad field of reproductive treatment and assisted conception. Six Awards have now been made and, and more candidates hope to submit portfolios for assessment in the near future. We are recruiting the next group of counsellors to start work with us this Autumn. read more »

'Working with the Emotional Impact of Infertility' The BICA Members who have acted as Trainers for these workshops across the country for the last 2 years are happy to run these sessions either on site with participants coming from one clinic or in central areas (such as London Manchester Birmingham) as cluster training sessions. They have been particularly valuable for staff members dealing with the emotional impact of infertility whether they be clinical, scientific or administrative. read more »
