It is now possible to become accredited under the approved BICA Accreditation Scheme. There are both accredited and senior accredited levels to achieve depending on skill and experience. Until December 2009 it will be possible for Members to achieve accreditation via a grandparenting route which will enable those who do not have minimum counselling qualifications but have suitable, supervised work experience to become accredited before the requirement for all to follow the full requirements thereafter. During 2009 it is likely that the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority will require all infertility counsellors approved by them to be accredited. Full details of HFEA progress with accreditation may be found at here when available read more »
