What is Trauma? How does it come about? When are our clients exhibiting trauma reactions as opposed to the effects of grief and loss? How does trauma manifest in the fertility counselling room? How do fertility counsellors support clients experiencing both past and current trauma? What’s the small “t” and what’s the big “T”?
An interactive workshop for counsellors aiming to:-
- Identify interventions and skills which can be helpful when dealing with past and current traumas.
- Explore perspectives on Trauma within the field of infertility.
- Develop awareness of the meaning and identification of Trauma and how it presents in the fertility counselling room with individuals and couples.
- Consider the impact on Counsellors of vicarious trauma.
The Trainers: This workshop is delivered by experienced trainers accredited by BICA as specialist infertility counsellors Gerry McCluskey & Angela Pericleous-Smith

If BICA is required to cancel a course, 100% of the course fee will be refunded.
If a participant cancels a booking the following will apply:

100% refund if cancelled 33 – 45 days before the course but a 5% administration fee will apply

50% refund if cancelled 17 - 32 days before the course
-
0% refund if cancelled 0 -16 days before the course.
This policy reflects the fees that BICA would incur should a course be cancelled due to participants cancelling their booking.
