24th September 2019

The RCN Fertility Nursing Forum and British Infertility Counselling Association have collaborated to offer regional workshops for nurses and midwives across healthcare, and particularly those caring for people requiring such treatments. Fertility nurses and others with an interest in this area may also find them useful to inform about the options for patients and their families, and how to access services.

Preserving fertility is a relatively new care option.
Advances in reproductive technologies mean that young people and adults needing treatment for potentially life limiting diseases where treatment may adversely affect their ability to have children now may have options for fertility preservation.

Based on the RCN Fertility Preservation publication, the workshops will be interactive and aim to help you to develop the skills and knowledge to raise awareness and discuss this very sensitive matter with your patients and their families

Three other workshops will be delivered in 2019:

*27th September, RCN Headquarters (London)
*30th October, RCN West Midlands office (Birmingham)
*15th November, RCN Wales office (Cardiff)
