Senior Fertility Counsellor - Wolfson Fertility Clinic Hammersmith Hospital

Band 7 Senior Fertility Counsellor

This team of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is looking for a qualified individual (Counsellor/Therapist) to provide a highly skilled and informed service to the patients attending for assisted conception treatment in our busy clinic at Hammersmith Hospital, Wolfson Fertility Centre.

The post-holder will be replacing a long-serving and much respected team member who has helped to create the service. The Wolfson Fertility Clinic prides itself on innovation and excellence, both in terms of outstanding success for IVF treatment and also patient experience.

The post-holder will work with individuals, couples and be able to offer group interventions where appropriate as well as being able to support team members in this complex and demanding work.

The individual will be an accredited member of recognised counselling or therapy body, have experience in the area of infertility and will be accredited with the British Infertility Counselling Association or will have attended the BICA Foundation Course in Infertility Counselling and able to work towards BICA accreditation.

The post-holder will have access to independent supervision and, if not yet BICA accredited, this will be with a BICA accredited counselling supervisor. The post is 2.5days a week with the counsellor/therapist offering both on-site and remote working.
