Storage limit for frozen eggs, sperm and embryos extended during coronavirus outbreak

The HFEA have been working hard with the DHSC to ensure those who have stored sperm, eggs or embryos are not penalised by the implementation of GD0014. 

The DHSC have announced that they intend to extend the statutory storage period to 12 years instead of the current 10 years to address concerns for those patients with gametes or embryos in storage which are reaching expiry.
